Musically Yours This Christmas marks the debut of the Musica Singers of Manitoba and the opening of their first season. Presented at the Laudamus Auditorium, the program blends timeless carols, festive favorites, and treasured Filipino traditions, reflecting the spirit of love, hope, and gratitude that defines the holidays. From classics like O Holy Night and Sleigh Ride to Filipino favorites such as Kampana ng Simbahan and Kumukutikutitap, the concert showcases both artistry and heart. This first performance establishes the Musica Singers’ presence in Manitoba’s choral scene, setting the tone for a season rooted in music and community.

Music in Our Hearts

Music in Our Hearts is the Musica Singers’ Valentine concert and second offering of their inaugural season. Staged at the Pauline Boutal Amphitheatre of the Centre culturel franco-manitobain, the program celebrates love through timeless classics, French chansons, Filipino treasures, and contemporary favorites. It also marks the ensemble’s first collaboration with MY Band, uniting choral voices and live instrumental energy on one stage. Through song, movement, and storytelling, the performance affirms the choir’s artistry while highlighting the universal power of music to inspire connection, community, and joy.

Musica, An Evening of Songs from the Philippines

Musica, An Evening of Songs from the Philippines is the flagship production of the Musica Singers’ first season. Directed by Oscar Pantaleon Jr., the concert unfolds across four themes: Kasarinlan (Independence), KundimanKalikasan(Nature), and Kinagigiliwan (Favourites). The Kundiman section presents Filipino love songs woven into a theatrical narrative titled Ang Liham (The Letter), combining music, movement, and drama. From patriotic anthems and timeless serenades to nature-inspired works and popular classics by Ryan Cayabyab, Freddie Aguilar, Constancio de Guzman, and others, the program celebrates Filipino heritage and the enduring power of music to connect hearts and generations.
